Description:
This course will provide an introductory overview of mental illness, the effectiveness of psychotropic medication in the treatment of neurosis, psychoses and other emotional disorders. The student will be introduced to the Diagnostic and Statistics Manual (DSM) and the various processes in this manual. There will be some attention to family dysfunction in this course.
